In this class, Dr. Morris covered every stage of the policymaking process, from policy design through policy evaluation. Topics such as agenda setting's role and function, policy networks, and issue networks were explored. I became acquainted with all levels of government. Therefore, I became interested in the policymaking protocols and regulatory mechanisms used by local governments in implementing public policies. This article described my understanding of accountability in public organizations, including the transparent systems and systems of accountability that organizations need to have in place to deliver public services. In the article, I offer ways in which the quality of local government services might be improved. In providing public services, public managers should have the ability to distinguish between public and private services. Because in the process of providing public services, public managers still need to contract with private companies for services. This mixed mechanism can affect the transparency and accountability of public services, but this partnership is unavoidable.
