Effective Management and Leadership

I used what I learned to help the organization improve its management efficiency by organizing the content and details of the organization's work, creating task forms for the organization after understanding its daily work, and helping the organization improve its management process by introducing new task management methods and helping the organization establish a complete evaluation mechanism. During my internship, I discovered that the organization did not have a clear process for scheduling interns' work, which often resulted in unclear responsibilities for work scheduling and no fixed schedule for interns to submit work plans and budgets. Therefore, I designed a program management solution based on the organization's demand to help the team efficiently assign tasks to interns and clarify responsibilities.

Contributed or participated in the policy process

In order to create a management policy that fits the organization, I communicated with colleagues involved in the organization before I started editing content to understand the organization's workflow and how colleagues feel when they are working. While a complete process is important, the organization of work tasks also needs to take into account the feelings of the people working in the organization. Therefore, after obtaining enough information, I summarized and reported the information to my manager. After consulting with my manager, I developed management policies based on the manager's needs. During my internship, I was responsible for the planning and implementation of a project. To develop a satisfactory service experience and high-quality service quality, I obtained information related to the service by searching on the website and asking my supervisor. An example is my field trip plan.

Analyzing and Solving the Problem

When I found a problem, I didn't rush to solve it. Before solving a problem, I investigated the cause and context of the problem. In the process of solving the problem, I collected feedback information and then used the information obtained to improve the solution. During an internship, the organization often had new volunteers, but newly arrived volunteers were often not proficient in their tasks, so volunteers often make mistakes and lead to increased potential risks. After learning about the organization's difficulties, I designed a task management system for the organization, which allowed the organization to change from a push management model to a pull management model. Volunteers no longer need to be scheduled by their supervisors when they receive an assignment, but start working according to the needs of the assignment.

Three values related to public service

I brought responsibility, honesty, and courage to the organization. I would allow my responsibilities to be better identified and monitored in the work of the organization, and I would stick to my position and responsibilities in the course of my work and do my best to complete my responsible tasks. After I had identified a problem, I adhered to the rule of integrity in reporting and communicating with my superiors about problems and risks that arise and resolved them in a timely manner through my ability and that of my team. When I encountered challenges at work, I accepted the challenges and hardships and encouraged my colleagues to face the difficulties together.

interacting with diverse workforces and citizens

Because I am a minority, I am able to fully understand the importance of multiculturalism. In a multicultural work environment, I encouraged myself to understand the culture and background of others, and I encouraged others to understand my culture and background. This interactive approach enhances my interaction with other colleagues and the work environment. Trust is an inevitable requirement for effective communication, so I will encourage myself and other colleagues to increase their trust in each other and in this way enhance the efficiency of the work and the comfort of the work environment.
