I learned how to use management tools such as budgeting, accounting and reporting, auditing, and information management. In this assignment, I provided a detailed analysis of financial management for managers of public organizations. I explain the relationship between budgets and funds in the fiscal management process and the content and functions of the different parts of fiscal management. Nonprofit organizations need to consider the content and limitations of legal requirements when developing policies related to finance. In the course, I learned about financial rules related to nonprofit organizations and how to avoid common financial mistakes. Following the course, I was able to evaluate and apply financial management techniques such as capital planning, debt management, cash management, pensions, local economic development, and procurement. I also inspected the leadership skills and best practices that deliver excellent localnment CFOs in the class.
