Public Policy Decision Making Process

Dr. Morris investigated the major concepts of public administration and public service and produced links between them to guide me through my MPA degree programs. Dr. Morris underlined the external environment of public organizations during the class. In addition, an overview of public administration concepts was provided. This class assisted me in understanding a variety of real-world situations and issues, stimulating additional ideas about the role of public administration in the federal government of the United States, and constructing a more naturopathic appreciation of material introduced in previous classes. In this assignment, I described the decision-making process. Decision-making for organizations that provide public services is very different from private organizations in that the organization needs to consider the needs of society in the decision-making process and be able to have efficient accountability. Through the class and the assignment, I understood the principle of seminal works in public administration, as well as the fundamental moral and philosophical concepts in the literature. When analyzing the policy making process, I obtained and accurately arouse scholarly research on the normative foundations and values of public administrators. Among the assignment, I used critical thinking when trying to assess explanations for guiding strategies.
